This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Plain language, no tricks.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us, plus what your browser automatically sends when you visit:

• Email address — when you sign up for the free guide or purchase the book.
• First name — when you give it to us on the lead magnet form.
• Payment details — handled entirely by Gumroad. We never see your credit card number. We see only that you bought, when, and which product.
• Standard analytics — your browser type, country, the page you came from, the page you went to. Nothing that identifies you personally.

What we use it for

• Sending you the free guide if you signed up for it.
• Delivering the book and companion files if you bought them.
• Sending occasional emails about cruising — never more than weekly, usually less.
• Customer support if you reach out with a question.
• Understanding which pages on the site work and which don't.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
• We don't share your email with other businesses.
• We don't run retargeting ads based on your behavior elsewhere.
• We don't read what's in your inbox or anywhere else.

The tools we use

We use a small number of third-party services. Each one has its own privacy policy.

• Gumroad — payment processing and product delivery. Their privacy policy.
• Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — sending you emails. Their privacy policy.
• Standard web hosting — for the pages on this site.

Your rights

You can:

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time, one click, no questions. The link is in every email.
• Ask us what we know about you. Email hello@davidcruises.com and we'll tell you within 30 days.
• Ask us to delete your data. Same email. We'll do it within 30 days.

If you're in the European Union or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. The same email gets the same response — we treat all data requests the same regardless of where you live.

Cookies

This site uses minimal cookies. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising. We use a session cookie to remember timer state during your visit, and the standard analytics cookies that come with web hosting.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. Major changes will also be emailed to subscribers.
